Heat 106, Hawks 85

LeBron James turned in a dominating performance with 43 points in 30 minutes, lifting the Miami Heat to a 106-85 rout over the host Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.

James made 16-of-21 shots, including 5-of-7 3 pointers. He netted 20 points during a first half in which he didn't miss a shot -- he was 8-of-8 from the field, including two 3-pointers, and made both free throws he attempted.

Chris Bosh scored 17 points and Dwyane Wade added 14 as the Heat (47-22) rebounded from Wednesday night's home loss to Oklahoma City.

Atlanta, playing in front of a sellout crowd, led for most of the first, but trailed by 13 points at halftime and was never in the game in the second half. Marvin Williams led the Hawks (39-30) with 15 points. Damien Wilkins scored 14 and Jeff Teague added 13.

Miami took the lead for good, 17-15, on Bosh's basket at the 3:17 mark of the first quarter. The margin reached double figures early in the second and the Heat led 50-37 at halftime.

Miami shot 53.5 percent from the field, making 38-of-71 shots, including 11-of-22 3-pointers. The Heat also outrebounded the Hawks 50-27.

Mike Bibby, playing his first game in Atlanta since the Hawks shipped him to Washington at the trade deadline, scored two points in 24 minutes. Bibby asked the Wizards to buy out his contract and he then signed with Miami.
