Stephen Jackson scored 23 points and Gerald Wallace added 22 and 10 rebounds to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 114-107 victory over the host Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
Boris Diaw added 18 points for the Bobcats (19-25), who have won the first two games of their six-game road trip.
Steve Nash had 27 points and 15 assists for the inconsistent Suns (20-24), who lost their third straight game after appearing to hit their stride with a five-game winning streak.
Charlotte led the entire fourth quarter, although Phoenix pulled within 102-100 on a 3-pointer by Vince Carter with 5:15 remaining. Jackson answered with a bucket, then added two free throws after another jumper by Carter.
The Bobcats held a 108-104 lead when Gerald Henderson made a pair of jumpers around a 3-pointer by Nash for a 112-107 edge with 2:39 left. The Suns missed their last three shots and committed a turnover down the stretch.
Henderson and D.J. Augustin scored 15 points apiece for Charlotte, which was 9-of-17 from 3-point range. Jackson had four 3-pointers and Augustin three.
Carter made five 3-pointers and scored 22 points for Phoenix, which was 16-of-32 from the arc. Nash was 4-of-4 and Channing Frye was 4-for-7.
