Lakers 94, Heat 88
Chris Bosh scored 24 points in an expanded offensive role and Dwyane Wade shook off poor shooting with the defensive play of the game as the Miami Heat snapped a five-game losing streak with a 94-88 victory over the surging Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
LeBron James added 19 points, including a go-ahead fastbreak dunk with 1:20 left after Wade stripped Kobe Bryant and fed a streaking James for a 90-88 lead.
Los Angeles had its chances to tie or take the lead in the last minute, but Ron Artest missed a jumper, Bryant shot an airball from the left corner and Artest missed an easy putback.
Wade made the Lakers pay with a driving layup with 46 seconds left for a four-point edge.
Bosh, who complained after Miami’s loss to Portland on Tuesday because he wasn’t getting the ball enough, shot 10 of 17 and added nine rebounds. Wade shot just 9 of 23 for 20 points.
Bryant scored 24 points as the Lakers had their eight-game winning streak snapped.
