Thunder 125, Magic 124
Kevin Durant scored 36 points and Russell Westbrook had 32 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a thrilling 125-124 victory over the visiting Orlando Magic on Thursday.
Durant made 13 of 17 shots as Oklahoma City (27-13) won its fourth consecutive game. Nenad Krstic added 16 points and 11 rebounds for Oklahoma City, which shot 56.4 percent from the field.
Dwight Howard matched his season-high with 39 points for Orlando (25-14). Howard also had 18 rebounds.
Jason Richardson tallied 19 points, J.J. Redick scored 18 points and Ryan Anderson had 15 points for Orlando, which lost its second straight contest.
Orlando was 14-of-28 from 3-point range with Redick and Richardson making four apiece and Anderson knocking down three.
The Magic never led in the contest and trailed by 10 entering the final quarter. Orlando pulled within 111-110 on Howard’s basket with 4:46 left but Oklahoma City immediately went on an 8-2 run to push the lead back up to seven points.
Jammer Nelson’s basket with 32.3 seconds left got Orlando within 121-119 but Durant responded with a basket with 8.1 seconds left.
