Grizzlies 115, Rockets 110

Zach Randolph had 29 points and 19 rebounds as the host Memphis Grizzlies snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Houston Rockets with a 115-110 victory Friday.

Randolph scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, including a short jumper with 20.9 seconds left to make it 113-110 and help seal the victory. Marc Gasol’s basket with 1:18 to go gave Memphis the lead for good at 109-108.

Rudy Gay scored 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter for the Grizzlies (20-23), who improved to 3-16 when their opponent scores 100 or more points.

Kevin Martin scored 32 points, including 12 for 12 from the free-throw line, for the Rockets (20-24), who had their three-game winning streak snapped. Luis Scola had 19 points while Shane Battier had 15 points and eight rebounds.

Memphis trailed by 12 early in the second half, but Mike Conley scored 11 points in the third quarter to help get the Grizzlies back in it.

Randolph had already recorded his ninth straight double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the first half.

Martin, who had 19 points in the first half, has scored 20 or more points in seven of his last eight games.
