Spurs 94, Timberwolves 91
Manu Ginobili scored 21 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 94-91 victory over the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
Richard Jefferson and Gary Neal added 13 points apiece as San Antonio improved its NBA-best record to 31-6 by defeating Minnesota for the 15th straight time.
Minnesota’s Anthony Tolliver missed a game-tying 3-point attempt with less than one second remaining.
Kevin Love had 18 points and 17 rebounds for Minnesota (9-29), which has lost four straight games.
San Antonio led 94-86 with 3:24 left after two free throws by George Hill, but didn’t score another point.
Minnesota pulled within three at 94-91 on Luke Ridnour’s 3-pointer with 2:02 left. Ridnour had 16 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
Hill, Matt Bonner and Tony Parker scored 11 points apiece for the Spurs.
Darko Milicic had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Minnesota.
Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley had just two points in 11-plus minutes before leaving with a sore ankle that he injured during Friday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
