Warriors 108, Timberwolves 99
Monta Ellis scored 34 points and Reggie Williams added 26 as the host Golden State Warriors snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 108-99 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night.
Golden State (9-16) had lost 12 of its last 13 games, with the only win during that stretch a 104-94 victory at Minnesota (6-19) on Nov. 27. The Warriors again played without injured point guard Stephen Curry (ankle).
Ellis scored 21 points in the first half, which the Warriors ended with a 20-6 spurt to turn an 11-point deficit into a 54-51 lead. Dorell Wright scored all 12 of his points in the first half.
Golden State grabbed a 79-76 lead entering the fourth quarter, where Williams scored 12 points to help the Warriors pull away.
David Lee had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, who shot 51 percent overall and made 11-of-22 3-pointers.
Darko Milicic had a career-high 25 points and 11 rebounds for Minnesota, which has lost 10 of 12 overall and fell to 1-13 on the road. Kevin Love had 13 points and 14 rebounds, ending his streak of six straight 20-20 games.
Martell Webster scored 17 points and Jonny Flynn had three and four assists in their season debuts for the Timberwolves. Webster had back surgery in October and Flynn had hip surgery in July.
