Timberwolves 122, Jazz 101

Kevin Love had 24 points and 12 rebounds, extending his streak of consecutive double-doubles to 53 games, and the host Minnesota Timberwolves cruised past the Utah Jazz 122-101 Friday night.

Love, who was 9-of-12 shooting, took over in the third quarter, scoring 15 and grabbing seven rebounds. He capped the spree with a 25-foot 3-pointer as Minnesota (17-50) outscored Utah 31-15 in the third.

Gordon Hayward led the Jazz (34-32) with 18 points, while C.J. Miles added 15 and Jeremy Evans 14.

Michael Beasley scored 23, Darko Milicic had 14 and Wayne Ellington 13 for the Timberwolves, who had not won back-to-back since Feb. 7-8. They rolled past Indiana 101-75 Wednesday.

Next up for Love on the list of most consecutive double-doubles is Elvin Hayes, who had 55 in 1973-74.

The Timberwolves limited former teammate Al Jefferson, who entered averaging 28 points since the All-Star break, to nine points. Andrei Kirilenko (back) returned to the Jazz lineup with eight points, but forward Paul Millsap (knee tendinitis) sat out and is questionable for Saturday's game at Chicago.

Utah has lost 10 of 13 and is two games behind eighth-place Memphis for the final Western playoff spot.
