Thunder 111, Timberwolves 103

Kevin Durant led seven scorers in double figures with 23 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder sent the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves to their sixth straight loss, 111-103, on Friday.

Russell Westbrook contributed 19 points, eight assists and five steals and Serge Ibaka added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Thunder (47-24), who improved to 11-2 in March and pulled within three games of the Dallas Mavericks (50-21) for the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference.

Anthony Randolph recorded 24 points and 15 rebounds for the Timberwolves (17-56), who dropped three games behind the Sacramento Kings (19-52) for the worst record in the West.

Minnesota, which trailed by 11 at the break, made a move to get back into it in the third, closing to within two, 82-80, with 33 seconds left in the frame. But Durant nailed a pair of 3-pointers in the final seconds to stretch it back out heading into the fourth.

A 10-3 burst to open the final quarter put the game away.

Minnesota was playing its second straight game without All-Star Kevin Love due to a groin injury.
