Suns 111, Clippers 98
Grant Hill scored 19 points leading six Phoenix players in double figures as the Suns broke a four-game losing streak with a 111-98 win over the visiting Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.
Hakim Warrick added 17 points for Phoenix (37-38). Jared Dudley scored 16 points while Zabian Dowdell and Aaron Brooks added 14 and 12, respectively. Marcin Gortat scored 10 points and had 11 rebounds.
Eric Gordon led the Clippers (29-47) with 21 points, and Blake Griffin added 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Both teams were shorthanded. Suns point guard Steve Nash and Clippers center Chris Kaman were sidelined because of the flu.
Los Angeles led most of the first quarter, but Phoenix took control midway through the second period. Warrick's layup with 7:46 remaining broke a 32-32 tie and put the Suns ahead for good. Phoenix ended the quarter on a 25-8 run and led 57-44 at halftime.
The Suns stretched the margin to 73-53 halfway through the third quarter and the Clippers, who have lost two straight and are 4-7 in their last 11 games, never threatened.
