Trail Blazers 105, Clippers 97

Gerald Wallace scored 20 points and LaMarcus Aldridge had 18 to help the Portland Trail Blazers remain unbeaten at home with a 105-97 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night.

Wesley Matthews had 18 points and Raymond Felton added 17 as Portland improved to 6-0 at the Rose Garden. Marcus Camby finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Caron Butler scored 20 points and Chauncey Billups chipped in 19 for the Clippers, who had won three straight.

Wallace’s layup gave the Blazers a 78-71 lead heading into the fourth. It hovered in the same range until the Clippers scored seven straight, pulling to 82-80 on Billups’ 3-pointer with 7:15 to play.

Felton stopped the run with a pair of free throws, Matthews added a pair from the stripe and Felton nailed a 3 from the top of the key to push the lead back to 89-80.

Billups got Los Angeles as close as 100-97 with a jumper and free throw with 26.9 seconds remaining. But Matthews went to the line following an intentional foul and made both.

Wallace bounced back after being held scoreless in a Jan. 1 road loss to the Clippers.

The Clippers held a 39-34 edge in on the boards, marking the first time this season they have outrebounded an opponent.
