Lakers 96, Clippers 91

Kobe Bryant scored 24 points and Pau Gasol added 23 points and 10 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers earned a 96-91 victory over their co-tenant Clippers on Wednesday night.

The Lakers (11-8) snapped a three-game losing streak against the Clippers (9-6).

Bryant added seven rebounds and six assists but also had seven turnovers. Andrew Bynum had 19 points and six rebounds.

Lakers rookie Andrew Goudelock scored a season-high 14. He had 10 points total in 10 games this season.

Clippers point guard Chris Paul, making his return after a five-game absence because of a left hamstring injury, had 12 assists.

Blake Griffin had 26 points and nine rebounds. Mo Williams scored 16 as did Caron Butler, who was scoreless in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers took their first lead since the opening basket with 6:26 remaining on Bryant's 3-pointer and boosted it to 84-80 on four free throws.

Metta World Peace made a 3-pointer and assisted Bynum's dunk for an 89-84 lead. World Peace finished a plus-20 despite just three points by adding seven assists and five rebounds with no turnovers.

Bynum made a layup and blocked DeAndre Jordan to help the Lakers preserve the victory.
