Jazz 96, Kings 93
Gordon Hayward had a team-high 21 points and C.J. Miles chipped in with 20 points off the bench as the Utah Jazz defeated the visiting Sacramento Kings 96-93 on Saturday.
With the Kings trailing 95-93 with six seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Jimmer Fredette missed a three-point attempt that would have given the Kings the win. Sacramento has lost four straight.
Fredette scored 14 points in his return to Utah where he played college basketball at Brigham Young University. The Utah crowd was chanting "We Want Jimmer" with under three minutes to play in the fourth quarter.
Kings guard Tyreke Evans had a game-high 31 points in a losing effort.
Sacramento forward Chuck Hayes was forced to leave late in the game after reinjuring a dislocated left shoulder that forced him to miss 11 games.
The Jazz improved to 9-3 at home this season.
