Kings 114, Warriors 106 (OT)

Marcus Thornton scored 28 points, Tyreke Evans scored 26 and DeMarcus Cousins had 21 points and 20 rebounds as the Sacramento Kings staved off Golden State for a 114-106 overtime victory Saturday night.

Golden State won 93-90 at home on Tuesday, sitting its starters for almost the entire fourth quarter. The Warriors (8-13) employed the same strategy Saturday, and it nearly worked.

Thornton scored 18 points in the third quarter, including 10 in a row, and made all four of his 3-pointers. The Kings took an 87-76 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Warriors chipped away as Keith Smart again went to his bench.

John Salmons hit one free throw as the Kings (8-15) took a 102-99 lead with 15.2 seconds remaining. Reserve Klay Thompson made a 3-pointer with nine seconds left on a feed from backup guard Nate Robinson to tie the score at 102. Evans missed a buzzer-beater and the game went to overtime.

The Kings then scored the first nine points of overtime for a 111-102 lead.

Jason Thompson had 15 points and 16 rebounds for Sacramento, which had a 55-36 rebounding advantage.

Dorell Wright scored 24 to lead the Warriors. Robinson scored 20, Monta Ellis 18 and Thompson had 16.
