LeBron James had 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds in 29 minutes as visiting Miami steadily pulled away from Orlando in its largest margin of victory this season.
Chris Bosh added 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting for the Heat, who extended their winning streak to a season-high five games. James Jones chipped in with 17 points, including five 3-pointers, for Miami, which shot 15-of-24 from beyond the arc.
Arron Afflalo totaled 30 points for the Magic, who fell to 1-5 in their last six. Orlando rookie Victor Oladipo made his first career start and finished
with 20 points, five steals and two assists while shooting 5-of-12 from
the field and committing eight turnovers.
The Magic kept things tight throughout the first half, recovering from a 16-0 Heat run off the opening tip to take their only lead of the game at 32-31 with 7:54 left in the second quarter. Miami bounced back - despite 14 first-half turnovers - to establish a 54-49 halftime lead behind 14 points from James.
Bosh and Jones combined for 25 points in the third quarter to help extend the Heat's lead to 90-71. Miami ran away with it in the final frame, as the reserves played out the stretch while James rested throughout the fourth quarter for the third time in as many games.
