76ers 126, Magic 125 (2OT)

Michael Carter-Williams erupted for 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as host Philadelphia outlasted Orlando to put an end to its four-game losing streak.

With the teams trading leads early in the second overtime, Carter-Williams gave the Sixers a three-point advantage with a driving left-handed layup with 2:31 left. He completed his first career triple-double by setting up Thaddeus Young's short rainbow jumper with a minute remaining, and the Sixers' defense prevailed from there.

Young had 25 points and 12 rebounds while Evan Turner added 24 points and James Anderson chipped in 19. Victor Oladipo posted his own triple-double for Orlando with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists while Arron Afflalo led the way offensively with a career-best 43 points in defeat.

Afflalo's 14 first-quarter points lifted Orlando to a 34-29 lead, and the teams continued to pile on the points in the second frame. The Magic made five of their first six shots in the quarter to open up a nine-point advantage, but Carter-Williams hit a contact layup as part of a three-point play to draw the 76ers to within a point, then added a putback hoop with two minutes left as Philadelphia led 58-57 at the break.

The 76ers fended off repeated Magic surges early in the second half, opening up a six-point lead on Spencer Hawes' driving finger roll near the halfway point of the third quarter and getting a fast-break 3-pointer from Carter-Williams less than a minute later as Philadelphia withstood a late Orlando rally to lead 85-80 entering the fourth. Anderson's 3-pointer pushed the Sixers' lead to seven, but Afflalo and Davis scored all nine points during a late run that put the Magic ahead 98-96.
