Nuggets 111, Nets 87

Timofey Mozgov erupted for 17 points and 20 rebounds in a reserve role as Denver used a big third quarter to rout host Brooklyn for its seventh straight win.

Mozgov took advantage of a worn-down Nets lineup, shooting 6-of-9 from the field while adding a pair of blocks. Kenneth Faried and Jordan Hamilton each added 15 points for the Nuggets, who outscored Brooklyn 31-15 in the third.

Joe Johnson's 22 points paced the Nets, who made just 2-of-16 attempts from 3-point range. Andray Blatche added 15 points off the bench.

Lopez and Johnson combined for 20 of Brooklyn's 29 first-quarter points en route to an early two-point edge. The teams exchanged leads in a back-and-forth second quarter until just past the midway point, when a J.J. Hickson dunk highlighted a 10-2 Denver run that helped give it a 58-50 advantage at the break.

Denver took charge in the third, knocking down five of six shots during a 2 1/2-minute stretch to open up a 10-point lead and holding Brooklyn to just four field goals in the quarter. The Nuggets pushed the advantage to 26 on a Mozgov basket with 8:15 remaining, and both teams emptied their benches the rest of the way.
