James Harden scored 27 points and Terrence Jones added 20 as host Houston rallied to knock off visiting Memphis.
Jeremy Lin scored 14 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter for the Rockets, who trailed by 10 points early in the final period before producing a sparkling comeback. Chandler Parsons contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Zach Randolph scored 23 points and grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who drop to 0-8 against fellow Southwest Division teams. James Johnson added 12 points and Mike Conley scored 11 for Memphis, which lost to Houston for the second time this season.
The Grizzlies led 76-66 after Mike Miller’s basket with 10:55 remaining before the Rockets answered with a 21-5 surge to take a six-point lead with 5:03 to play. Conley’s 3-pointer pulled Memphis within 87-84 but Francisco Garcia drained a 3-pointer and Harden knocked down a shot to spread the advantage to eight as Houston held on.
Randolph had 15 points and nine rebounds in the first half as the Grizzlies led 53-45 at the break. The lead was six entering a fourth quarter in which the Rockets outscored Memphis 34-20.
