Bradley Beal scored 21 points and Marcin Gortat recorded 18 points and 13 rebounds as visiting Washington snapped a three-game losing streak.
John Wall contributed 17 points and eight assists while Trevor Booker added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Wizards, who took control with a 17-0 run in the third quarter. Martell Webster chipped in with 10 points off the bench and Washington finished with a season-low seven turnovers.
Gerald Henderson led the way with a season-high 27 points for Charlotte, which has dropped six of its last seven contests. Kemba Walker added 19 points and reserve Ramon Sessions had 10 for the Bobcats, who were outrebounded 46-38.
Booker scored eight points during the big run in the third quarter that gave Washington a 19-point lead before Charlotte closed within 66-55 going to the fourth. Anthony Tolliver scored six straight to pull the Bobcats within 88-81 with 2:14 left, but Beal made a jumper and the Wizards were on their way.
Henderson registered 11 points, but Washington edged in front 24-21 after one quarter and pushed the lead to five early in the second. Charlotte scored seven straight points to take a three-point lead before Washington posted the final seven – six by Wall -- for a 43-39 advantage at intermission.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wizards have won eight of 17 games on the road this season, including five of their last six, after going 7-34 away from home all of last season. … Charlotte C Al Jefferson grabbed 10 rebounds but finished with six points on 3-of-9 shooting, after scoring a season-high 27 in the win over Sacramento on Saturday. … Washington blocked eight shots as Gortat and F Jan Vesely each had three.
