Brandon Knight scored 24 points and Ramon Sessions added 20 and seven assists as Milwaukee held off visiting Cleveland and snapped a six-game slide.

Khris Middleton scored 17 points and Zaza Pachulia collected 16 points and eight rebounds for the Bucks. Chris Wright put up a season-high 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting off the bench and John Henson contributed 15 points for Milwaukee.

Dion Waiters scored 23 points to lead the Cavaliers, who were eliminated from playoff consideration earlier in the week. Jarrett Jack added 21 points in a reserve role and Tristan Thompson chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds for Cleveland.

The Cavaliers scored the first nine points of the fourth quarter to take a 96-92 lead and it went back and fourth until the Bucks jumped up 111-108 with 2:45 to play. Kyrie Irving’s free throws brought Cleveland back within a point but Milwaukee responded with a 7-2 run to put it away.

Cleveland took a 69-62 lead into the half and was up nine five minutes into the third quarter before Milwaukee made a move. The Cavaliers were held without a field goal over the final 7:27 of the quarter and the Bucks ended the period on a 20-6 run to take a five-point lead into the final quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wright scored a career-high 25 points for Golden State on the final day of the 2011-12 season and had played only three previous games for Milwaukee after sitting out all of last season. … Irving finished with 12 points and totaled 20 on 7-of-18 shooting the last two games after putting up 44 points on Saturday. … The Cavaliers went 4-for-20 from beyond the arc while the Bucks hit 6-of-16 from 3-point range, with Middleton and Knight each knocking down three.
