Wizards 98, Knicks 83
Paul Pierce and Garrett Temple led a balanced attack with 17 points apiece as visiting Washington won its third straight.
Kevin Seraphin scored 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting and Andre Miller finished with 12 for the Wizards, who have won four in a row over New York. John Wall contributed 11 points, seven assists and two steals while Drew Gooden had 10 points off the bench.
Iman Shumpert made all four of his 3-point tries en route to 19 points to pace the Knicks. Carmelo Anthony scored 18 points on 8-of-23 shooting while committing seven of New York's 18 turnovers.
The Knicks led by as many as nine points in the first half and were up 45-40 at the break, but the Wizards scored the first five points of the third quarter and Pierce's four-point play put Washington up 54-48 nearing the midway point of the period. Seraphin's back-to-back hoops capped a 14-0 run that lasted over six minutes and allowed the Wizards to carry a 72-60 advantage into the fourth.
Pablo Prigioni and Shumpert hit consecutive 3-pointers to cut New York's deficit to 77-71 with eight minutes to go before Seraphin hit a jumper and Miller scored on consecutive possessions to make it 83-73. Pierce buried a triple moments later and Wall finished a 6-0 burst that left Washington with a 92-77 lead with under two minutes left.
