Ty Lawson scored 24 points and dished out 12 assists as visiting Denver snapped Cleveland's four-game winning streak.

Arron Afflalo added a season-high 23 points while Timofey Mozgov contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Nuggets, who went 12-of-15 from the free-throw line. Darrell Arthur had season highs of 13 points and 11 rebounds while Wilson Chandler added 12 for Denver.

LeBron James - who was battling a head cold - collected 22 points and nine rebounds for the Cavaliers, who could not overcome 15 turnovers. Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters all scored 20 points for Cleveland.

Afflalo and Lawson combined for 24 points and 10 assists in the first half as the Nuggets shot 51.2 percent to take a 53-52 edge into intermission. Chandler muscled his way inside to give Denver an 81-71 lead before Waiters nailed two straight jumpers to cut the deficit to six heading into the fourth quarter.

Afflalo and Arthur hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Nuggets on top 96-84 and they led by 14 midway through the final frame. Denver never let its lead slip below nine points to finish a three-game road trip with a 2-1 record.
