Alec Burks scored 20 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds as host Utah shook off a cold start to top Oklahoma City.

Enes Kanter had 16 points and a season-high 15 rebounds for the Jazz, who were coming off a 2-3 road trip. Trey Burke finished with 17 points and nine assists while Gordon Hayward chipped in 13 points.

Jeremy Lamb led the Thunder with 19 points and Steven Adams added 11 points and eight boards. Reggie Jackson finished with 10 points but no other Oklahoma City player reached double figures as the Thunder fell for the third straight time.

Utah shot 6-of-18 in the first quarter as Oklahoma City claimed a 23-14 lead and the margin ballooned to 17 midway through the second before the Jazz turned things around. Hayward's three-point play and six straight points by Kanter helped Utah cut the deficit to 42-40 at the break, and Dante Exum's buzzer-beating 3-pointer capped a dominant third quarter to give the Jazz a 72-59 advantage.

Adams, Jackson and Nick Collison scored consecutive baskets for a quick 6-0 burst and Jackson's 3-pointer with 4:49 to go allowed the Thunder to get within 82-70. Kanter and Burks responded with baskets and Utah led by at least 14 the rest of the way.
