Brandon Knight scored 20 points and handed out eight assists while O.J. Mayo had 17 in his first start of the season as host Milwaukee topped stumbling Detroit.
Jabari Parker had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Bucks, who went 10-of-22 from beyond the arc. Ersan Ilyasova recorded 13 points and nine boards and Larry Sanders had 12 points and nine rebounds as Milwaukee avenged a loss at the Pistons on Nov. 7.
Andre Drummond scored 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting while collecting 10 rebounds for Detroit, which lost its fifth game in a row. Greg Monroe had 15 points and both Josh Smith and D.J. Augustin finished with 11.
Detroit led by as many as eight points in the first half but went the final four minutes without a field goal and Milwaukee finished the half on a 6-0 run to take a 49-48 lead into the break. Knight's tiebreaking 3-pointer with just under five minutes left in the third gave the Bucks the lead for good and Ilyasova scored the final five points of the period to cap a 15-3 run and make it 79-67.
Zaza Pachulia's basket midway through the fourth kept it a 12-point margin and he added another for an 87-73 advantage with just over five minutes left. Detroit, which hit 7-of-17 free throws, never got any closer than eight points down the stretch.
