Mike Conley had 21 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists and Zach Randolph had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Grizzlies. Courtney Lee chipped in 13 points for the Grizzlies, who won their fourth straight game and possess the best record in the NBA at 14-2.
Wesley Matthews knocked down a season-best seven 3-pointers while scoring 26 points for the Trail Blazers, who shot just 40.2 percent from the field. Damian Lillard had 20 points and nine assists, LaMarcus Aldridge had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Chris Kaman matched his season high of 16 points and grabbed a season-best 11 rebounds.
The Trail Blazers trailed by 14 early in the final stanza but used a 12-2 run to pull within four on a basket by Kaman with 7:26 to play. Memphis regained control and dominated the next five-plus minutes to push the margin to 15 and finish off the victory.
Portland held a 12-point lead midway through the first quarter before the Grizzlies rallied to within 25-23 after the first quarter. Memphis controlled the second and took a 52-43 halftime lead and increased the advantage to 15 in the third before settling for an 83-70 edge entering the final stanza.
