Klay Thompson scored 23 points and Stephen Curry collected 19 points and 11 assists as Golden State easily dispatched visiting New Orleans to match the longest winning streak in franchise history.

Harrison Barnes added 17 points and 10 rebounds while Draymond Green recorded 14 points and a regular-season career-high 14 boards for the Warriors, who have won 11 straight to match the 1971-72 squad. Marreese Speights contributed 12 points as Golden State (16-2) extended the best start in franchise history.

Anthony Davis racked up 30 points and 15 rebounds for the Pelicans, who have dropped four of five. Omer Asik added 15 rebounds and Jrue Holiday had 12 points and eight assists for New Orleans.

The Pelicans bridged the first and second quarters with a 10-2 run to grab a 30-22 lead but went over four minutes without scoring as Speights scored six during a 12-0 run to put the Warriors in front. Curry led a 9-2 spurt closing the half that sent Golden State into the break up 53-40, and Thompson’s 3-pointer with 6:26 left in the third spread it out to 70-48.

New Orleans cut the deficit to 14 points at the start of the fourth quarter but Leandro Barbosa’s transition layup pushed it back to 88-68. Back-to-back baskets from Davis brought the Pelicans within 90-76 just in front of the midway point but the Warriors called timeout and surged over the next four minutes, with Thompson’s 3-pointer off a feed from Curry pushing the advantage to 107-82 with 2:17 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: New Orleans scored 12 points in the second quarter, marking its fewest in any period this season. … Pelicans F Dante Cunnighman, who went unsigned over the summer following a domestic assault charge in April, made his season debut after being signed by the team and scored two points in 12 minutes. … Green, who grabbed 14 rebounds in a playoff game last May, recorded his second double-double of the season.
