Dwyane Wade returned from a one-game layoff to score 28 points - 10 in overtime - and help host Miami outlast Sacramento.

Tyler Johnson scored 24 points off the bench for the Heat, who shot 51.3 percent. Michael Beasley scored a season-high 18 points and fellow reserve Mario Chalmers finished with 12 points, seven assists and four steals for Miami.

DeMarcus Cousins had 27 points and 17 rebounds for the Kings before fouling out in overtime. Rudy Gay also had 27 points while Ben McLemore tallied 17 of his 20 in the first half as Sacramento fell to 1-3 on its nine-game road trip.

Andre Miller's basket with 2:02 left in OT gave Sacramento a 104-103 lead but a pair of free throws by Chris Andersen put Miami back on top and Johnson buried a 3-pointer with 50.4 seconds to go to give the Heat a 108-104 advantage. McLemore missed a 3-point try and Wade made six free throws in the final 31 seconds to seal it.

Miami trailed by five with under five minutes left in regulation, but four straight free throws by the Heat and a fadeaway jumper by Wade put them up 91-90 with 2:36 to go. After Wade made it 96-92 with 1:32 remaining, Cousins hit a pair of free throws and Miller drove for the tying hoop before Gay and Cousins missed potential game-winners in the closing seconds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Heat SF Luol Deng (thigh) missed his second straight game, SG Goran Dragic (back) sat for the first time since joining Miami last month and C Hassan Whiteside (ankle) also missed the contest. ... PF Derrick Williams hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to end the first quarter and give the Kings a 30-26 lead and Sacramento led by as many as 15 in the second en route to a 61-47 halftime lead. ... Beasley committed two fouls in six seconds to foul out with 1:07 left in regulation.
