Heat 100, Grizzlies 97
MIAMI -- Shooting guard Dwyane Wade hit the winning jumper with 21.9 seconds left, and the Miami Heat rallied from a 16-point deficit for a 100-97 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night at AmericanAirlines Arena.
The Heat scored the game's final 11 points, including Wade's go-ahead shot that bounced in after hitting the front rim and the backboard.
Miami (13-9) snapped a season-worst, three-game losing streak behind 22 points from power forward Chris Bosh, 16 points from shooting guard Gerald Green, 15 points from small forward Luol Deng and 14 points from Wade.
Wade is two points from tying Eddie Johnson for 47th place on the NBA's career list.
During the Heat's slump, they fell from first place in the Eastern Conference to seventh -- and they nearly dropped further before their dramatic rally.
Memphis (13-12) got a season-high 26 points from forward Jeff Green. Forward Matt Barnes added 13 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Miami got off to an early lead, but Memphis responded with a 17-2 run and closed the first period with a 27-21 advantage. The Heat did not shoot a free throw in the quarter.
Memphis increased its lead to 56-48 at the break, shooting 56 percent from the floor in the first half. The Grizzlies are not known as an exceptionally quick team, yet they had a 9-0 advantage on fast-break points at the half.
The Grizzlies extended their lead to 16 points before Miami's 10-0 run made things interesting. Memphis went into the fourth quarter with a 78-71 lead.
