Raptors 107, Bucks 89
MILWAUKEE -- Kyle Lowry scored 25 points and handed out 11 assists as the Toronto Raptors got back to their winning ways and swept the season series from the Milwaukee Bucks with a 107-89 victory Tuesday night at the Bradley Center.
Lowry scored 20 in the first half as the Raptors took advantage of a punchless Milwaukee second unit. Toronto led by eight after Lowry drained a 3-pointer with 6:33 left in the second quarter.
Bucks coach Jason Kidd went back to his starters, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, who had scored seven with five rebounds and three assists in the first quarter, and they managed to cut the deficit to 52-49 at the half.
Toronto opened the third on an 8-0 run to go up 11 and shot 60 percent from the field to take an 81-66 into the fourth.
The Bucks made only six of 22 shots in the third quarter and trailed by as many as 23 down the stretch.
Milwaukee shot 44.2 percent for the game and only turned the ball over seven times but went 2-for-13 from beyond the arc. The Raptors knocked down 14 of 29 from long range and sank 47 percent of their field-goal attempts overall.
Antetokounmpo finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds. He also had nine assists, falling just short of his fifth triple-double of the season. Jabari Parker shared team-high honors with 18 points.
Norman Powell added 17 points for the Raptors. He was in the starting lineup in place of DeMar DeRozan, who was dressed but given the night off as Toronto coach Dwane Casey tries to limit his players' minutes during a stretch of four games in five days.
The Raptors started that run Monday with a two-point loss at Chicago that snapped a three-game winning streak.
Milwaukee, meanwhile, saw its three-game winning streak end.
NOTES: Bucks F John Henson was in uniform and available to play limited minutes Tuesday night. Henson missed Milwaukee's previous 20 games because of a sore back. "The healing process took a bit longer (than we expected)," coach Jason Kidd said. "I don't know if we thought it would be this serious." Henson appeared in 42 games before the injury, averaging 6.8 points on 59.1 percent shooting with 3.9 rebounds. ... Raptors C Jonas Valanciunas sat out Tuesday after sustaining a left hand injury Monday against Chicago. ... The Raptors took all three previous meetings with the Bucks this season.
