Pistons 92, Bucks 91

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Andre Drummond's tip-in during the final second gave the Detroit Pistons a 92-91 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday at The Palace.

Drummond's putback of a missed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope jumper gave the Pistons (37-34) their third consecutive victory. Milwaukee's Jerryd Bayless missed two free throws prior to Drummond's game-winner.

Marcus Morris had 21 points for Detroit and Drummond contributed his league-high 58th double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Caldwell-Pope supplied 15 points and Tobias Harris added 13 points and six rebounds. The Pistons' leading scorer, Reggie Jackson, was held to nine points.

Khris Middleton scored a game-high 27 points for the Bucks (30-41), who lost their third straight.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 21 points, 12 rebounds and five assists and Greg Monroe powered for 18 points and 10 rebounds for Milwaukee.

The Pistons won the season series 3-1.

Milwaukee scored on its first five possessions of the second half, with each starter recording a basket, to open up an eight-point lead. Middleton and Antetokounmpo converted two baskets apiece during an 8-0 run later in the third to make it 72-59.

The Pistons gradually chipped away at their deficit and got it down to four, 78-74, on Harris' three-point play with 7:02 left. Morris soon fired in two 3-pointers to bring Detroit within 84-82. Drummond's layup with 4:10 then tied it.

A Monroe tip-in put the Bucks back on top. Middleton's three-point play made it a five-point game but when Harris hit two free throws with 46.9 seconds left, Milwaukee's lead was down to 89-88.

Middleton responded with a jumper but Jackson followed with a layup. Bayless then missed his pair of free throws with 9.6 seconds remaining. After a timeout, Drummond's tip-in gave Detroit its second one-point win this season.

Monroe scored 14 first-half points as the Bucks led 48-45 at the break. The Bucks had a 30-12 advantage in points in the paint during the half but still gave away a 17-point lead before recovering late in the second quarter.
