Devils 6, Lightning 3
David Clarkson tallied twice and Jason Arnott scored his first goal in the last 17 games to lift the New Jersey Devils to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday.
New Jersey, which had lost four straight, trailed 1-0 and 2-1 before scoring five times in the third period to seal the win.
Clarkson tied the game at 2-2 at the 4:14 mark of the third period with a power-play goal. Arnott then put New Jersey (11-29-2) ahead for good just over 3 1/2 minutes later.
Dainius Zubrus made it 4-2 and Patrik Elias and Nick Palmieri both had empty-net goals for New Jersey.
The Lightning led 2-1 after the first period.
Teddy Purcell opened the scoring for Tampa Bay with his seventh goal of the season. Clarkson tied it for the Devils, but Ryan Malone scored a power-play goal at the 16:01 mark to give the Lightning the lead again.
Dominic Moore scored late in the third period for Tampa Bay (26-12-5).
Martin Brodeur stopped 33 shots for New Jersey. Dan Ellis took the loss after stopping 20 of 24 shots.
