Bruins 4, Senators 2
Rookie Brad Marchand scored a pair of goals and Nathan Horton notched a tally and an assist as the Boston Bruins extended their winning streak at Scotiabank Place to five games Friday with a 4-2 triumph over the Ottawa Senators.
Defenseman Dennis Seidenberg also scored, David Krejci and blue-liner Andrew Ference had two assists apiece and Tuukka Rask made 32 saves for the Northeast Division-leading Bruins, who improved to 2-0 on their six-game road trip.
Chris Kelly made his debut with Boston after being acquired from Ottawa on Tuesday. Defenseman Tomas Kaberle, who was obtained from Toronto earlier Friday, also was in the lineup and played 19 1/2 minutes.
Marchand got Boston on the board at 6:47 of the first period, putting a shot from the top of the right faceoff circle into the top left corner of the net. Just 32 seconds after Seidenberg scored a power-play goal, the 22-year-old completed his second career multi-goal performance with 4:08 remaining in the third.
Rookie Bobby Butler extended his goal-scoring streak to three games, Alex Kovalev also tallied and Robin Lehner stopped 29 shots for the Senators, who have lost 10 straight at home and 13 of 14 overall.
