Canucks 3, Kings 1

All-Star Daniel Sedin recorded a goal and an assist to become the first player to reach the 100-point mark this season as the Vancouver Canucks clinched their first Presidents' Trophy with a 3-1 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.

Defenseman Christian Ehrhoff and All-Star Ryan Kesler also scored while Roberto Luongo turned aside 18 shots for the Canucks (52-17-9), who have won five straight games and 12 of their last 13.

Kyle Clifford tallied and Jonathan Quick made 32 saves for Los Angeles, which failed to register a shot on goal in the third period.

The Kings had their six-game road winning streak snapped and lost in regulation for just the second time in their last 12 overall (8-2-2).

Sedin forged a 1-1 tie at 15:06 of the second period, beating Quick for his 41st goal of the season. Ehrhoff's shot from the top of the slot with one second remaining in the session put Vancouver ahead and Kesler scored his 37th goal during a 5-on-3 power play with 4:26 to play in the third.
