Senators 6, Jets 4
Zach Smith scored twice, including the game winner with 6:15 remaining as the Senators rallied for a 6-4 victory over the host Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday.
Smith's first career two-goal game lifted the Senators to their fifth win in the past eight games, with seven of those played away from Ottawa.
After Evander Kane's two third-period goals put the Jets ahead 4-3, Jason Spezza drew the Senators even at 9:35 with a wicked wrist shot from just below the right faceoff dot that clipped the crossbar on the way in.
Smith's second of the night on a power-play gave the Senators the lead for good. The third-year center stickhandled untouched into the high slot and wristed a shot that eluded Jets netminder Ondrej Pavelec.
Milan Michalek scored a pair of goals for the Senators, giving him 14 on the season - good for third in the league behind Toronto's Phil Kessel (16) and Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos (15). Nick Foligno added an empty-netter with just over a minute left.
Blake Wheeler and Alex Burmistrov also scored for the Jets, who kicked off a stretch that will see them play 13 of their next 15 games at the MTS Centre.
The Jets lost forward Nik Antropov in the third period after he took a shot off his right leg.
