Panthers 2, Bruins 0

Tomas Kopecky scored the game-winner with 2:32 to play, lifting the visiting Florida Panthers to a 2-0 win over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night.

Jose Theordore made 40 saves to record his 32nd shutout in his 600th career game as the Panthers sent the Bruins to their second straight loss after a 15-game point streak.

Kopecky slammed home the second rebound of an initial save by Boston goaltender Tim Thomas, who had a personal 10-game winning streak snapped. It was the first tally in 13 games for Kopecky.

Kris Versteeg added an empty-netter with 42 seconds to play to wrap up Florida's third consecutive victory.

Theodore posted his second shutout of the season and improved to 9-0-1 in his last 10 against Boston, which hit the post three times in the opening 10 minutes and five times overall.

The Bruins suffered their first regulation loss at home since Oct. 27 and fell to 14-2-1 in their last 17 games.

Boston's Daniel Paille was knocked out of the game in the first period on a hard hit by Krys Barch, who was acquired from Dallas on Wednday. Barch drew a charging penalty on the play.
