Jets 2, Flyers 1 (SO)

Bryan Little scored in the shootout and Ondrej Pavelec made 27 saves as the visiting Winnipeg Jets defeated the Philadelphia Flyers for the third time this season 2-1 on Tuesday.

After combining for 27 goals in the first two meetings, it was a tempered affair through 60 minutes with Pavelec stealing the show in the third period and Ilya Bryzgalov shining in overtime.

Pavelec stopped Sean Couturier, Claude Giroux and Jaromir Jagr in the shootout, while Bryzgalov stopped Kyle Wellwood and Blake Wheeler. On the final attempt, Little snapped a shot through the five-hole to clinch the win.

Bryzgalov finished with 23 saves.

Chris Thorburn put the Jets on the board with his first goal of the season and first in his last 60 games at 2:06 of the middle frame. After receiving a pass from Nik Antropov, who has seven points in his last seven games, Thorburn wristed a shot just inside the post past Bryzgalov.

Brayden Schenn scored the lone first-period goal on the power play for the Flyers. Schenn first tipped a point shot that was stopped, but shoveled his own rebound under Pavelec and barely over the goal line.
