Blue Jackets 2, Blues 1

Derek Dorsett scored his career-high 10th goal of the season and David Perron had a goal disallowed in the final four seconds of the game as the Columbus Blue Jackets prevailed over the visiting St. Louis Blues 2-1 on Tuesday.

After the Blues pulled the goalie for the extra attacker, Perron pushed the puck in with his right hand as he toppled Blue Jackets goaltender Steve Mason. The referees signaled a goal, but after a lengthy review the call was reversed to give the Blue Jackets the win and snap the Blues’ four-game winning streak.

Dorsett went hard to the net and beat Jaroslav Halak on a rebound to give Columbus a 2-1 lead 6:49 into the third period.

David Backes scored in the first period to give the Blues a 1-0 lead before James Wisniewski fired a bullet from the point on the power play with less than a second remaining in the period to knot the game at 1-1.

Mason made 31 saves for his seventh win of the season.

Columbus scored on the power play for the sixth straight game, a season high.

Early in the third period, a fan tossed some chocolate-covered strawberries onto the ice, temporarily delaying play.
