Andrew Ladd scored the lone goal of the shootout, giving Winnipeg a victory at Dallas.
Evander Kane netted his team-leading sixth goal for the Jets, who have gone beyond regulation in four of their last five games. Ondrej Pavelec made 35 saves en route to his fourth victory.
Defenseman Stephane Robidas scored his first goal of the season for the Stars, who lost at home for the first time since their season opener. Kari Lehtonen stopped 37 shots in his second start since missing time with a leg injury.
Ladd beat Lehtonen with a wrist shot from 10 feet out on Winnipeg’s second attempt in the shootout, and Dallas veteran Ray Whitney's shot in the third round went wide, clinching the win for the Jets. Robidas forged a 1-1 tie at 6:36 of the third period, breaking his stick on a tip-in.
After a scoreless first period, Kane beat Lehtonen with a snap shot just 3:28 into the second. The Jets outshot the Stars 25-18 through the first 40 minutes and held Dallas to one shot on three power plays.
