Ducks 3, Devils 2 (OT)
Kyle Palmieri scored at 2:37 of overtime as visiting Anaheim extended its winning streak to seven games.
Palmieri, who grew up in nearby Montvale, N.J., beat Cory Schneider on a wraparound and added an assist as the Ducks pushed their points string to 10 games (8-0-2). Defenseman Cam Fowler and Mathieu Perreault also scored and set up a goal, Teemu Selanne added a pair of assists and Jonas Hiller made 19 saves as Anaheim halted a four-game skid against New Jersey.
Michael Ryder and defenseman Andy Greene scored goals for the Devils, who were denied in their bid to complete a perfect three-game homestand. Schneider turned aside 21 shots in losing his fourth straight start (0-2-2).
Adam Henrique set up the opening goal at 4:15 of the second period, stealing the puck from defenseman Ben Lovejoy and flicking a bouncing pass that Ryder scooped into the right side of the net for his fifth goal in ninth games. Anaheim tied it just under 11 minutes later when Fowler hammered a slap shot from the left circle past a screened Schneider.
The Ducks went ahead midway through the third when Palmieri drove the net and sent a centering pass that hit the skates of Devils defenseman Eric Gelinas and set up Perreault for an easy conversion on the doorstep. Greene tied it with 5:02 left in regulation with a blast from the left circle off a backhand feed from Jaromir Jagr, who extended his point streak to six games.
