Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk scored a power-play goal 4:49 into overtime as visiting St. Louis improved to 12-0-1 against Central Division representatives this season.
With Dallas defenseman Kevin Connauton serving a tripping penalty, the Blues worked the puck around the perimeter before Shattenkirk's one-timer from the left circle sailed inside the near post.
Jaden Schwartz scored a goal in his fifth straight contest and T.J. Oshie also tallied for the Blues, who improved to 7-1-2 in their last 10 games. Brian Elliott made 28 saves in the victory.
Captain Jamie Benn scored for the third consecutive contest and Ryan Garbutt also tallied. Kari Lehtonen finished with 19 saves for the Stars, who fell to 4-0-2 in their last six games.
Oshie gave St. Louis a 2-0 lead after taking advantage of Connauton's flubbed clearing attempt before wiring a sharp-angle shot over the right shoulder of Lehtonen at 5:12 of the second period. Benn trimmed the deficit just over three minutes later and Garbutt deflected defenseman Aaron Rome's point shot to forge a tie at 11:31 of the session.
GAME NOTEBOOK: St. Louis LW Brenden Morrow was honored with a video tribute during the first period. Morrow, who is also a former Stars captain, waved to the crowd after receiving a standing ovation. ... Schwartz continued his torrid stretch at 2:41 of the first period by slamming home a diagonal pass at the right post for his 13th goal - and 10th in his last 18 games. ... Blues captain David Backes sat out with an undisclosed injury, which he suffered in Friday's game.
