Lightning 6, Flyers 3

Valtteri Filppula scored to snap a tie and added an assist during a wild seven-goal second period as Tampa Bay ended Philadelphia's 10-game home winning streak.

Ryan Malone tallied twice while Alex Killorn and Teddy Purcell each scored and set up a goal for the Lightning, who have won seven of their last eight on the road and improved to 10-2-1 in the last 13 meetings with the Flyers. Captain Martin St. Louis netted his team-leading 20th goal, former Philadelphia defenseman Matt Carle notched two assists while finishing with a plus-6 rating and Anders Lindback turned aside 35 shots in the win.

Jakub Voracek scored twice and Wayne Simmonds netted his team-leading 15th goal for the Flyers, who suffered their first loss at Wells Fargo Center since a 3-0 setback to New Jersey on Nov. 7. Ray Emery finished with seven saves in relief of Steve Mason, who yielded five goals on 17 shots through two periods.

Philadelphia erased a 3-1 deficit as Simmonds cleaned up a rebound for a power-play goal and Voracek netted his second of the game with 5:25 remaining in the second period. Tampa Bay quickly restored the two-goal advantage as Filppula backhanded home a loose puck 66 seconds later and St. Louis converted a cross-ice feed from rookie Tyler Johnson with 57 seconds left in the session for his team-best 20th tally.

Purcell gave the Lightning a 2-0 lead at 5:21 of the second period before Voracek beat Lindback on a breakaway 83 seconds later. Malone restored the two-goal advantage 44 seconds afterward by converting a 2-on-1 rush with Nate Thompson before capping the scoring with an empty-net goal late in the third.
