Defenseman Nate Prosser scored his second game-winning goal in three nights at 2:42 of overtime as Minnesota completed a 2-1-0 homestand.

Rookie Erik Haula and blue-liner Ryan Suter also tallied for the Wild, who improved to 7-2-0 this month. Darcy Kuemper finished with 33 saves.

Ryan Garbutt and Alex Chiasson scored while Kari Lehtonen stopped 16 shots for Dallas, which fell to 1-8-0 in January.

Haula opened the scoring at 7:11 of the first period with his first NHL goal. The 22-year-old chipped the puck off the boards and raced past Erik Cole for a breakaway, beating Lehtonen from the left faceoff circle. Garbutt buried a rebound on the doorstep at 11:57 of the second to forge a tie, but Suter fired a wrist shot from the left point past Lehtonen 2:12 later to restore Minnesota's lead.

The Stars again knotted the contest 9 1/2 minutes into the third, as Chiasson backhanded a loose puck in the crease into the net during a power play. In overtime, Lehtonen stopped Nino Niederreiter's shot, but Prosser pounced on the rebound and beat the netminder from the right side for the winner.
