Wheeler forged a tie 1:20 later, firing a wrist shot from the right circle past the glove of Hiller, and Ladd scored from the doorstep with 1:24 left in the opening period to give Winnipeg a 2-1 edge.
Kane doubled the lead with 4:17 left in the second, racing down the left wing and ripping a shot past Hiller from the top of the left circle while short-handed. Bonino buried a rebound in the slot midway through the third, but the Ducks were unable to get the equalizer.
