Panthers 3, Stars 2

Sean Bergenheim scored the tiebreaking goal with 4:31 to play in the third period as host Florida snapped its five-game losing streak.

Brandon Pirri added a goal and an assist while Scottie Upshall also scored for the Panthers, who recorded their first regulation win since March 18. Roberto Luongo turned aside 35 shots as Florida stalled Dallas' drive to strengthen its playoff position.

Tyler Seguin scored one goal and set up another and captain Jamie Benn netted his 33rd tally for the Stars, who blew a 2-0 lead and remained one point ahead of Phoenix for the second wild card in the Western Conference. Defenseman Trevor Daley collected a pair of assists and Kari Lehtonen made 21 saves as Dallas completed its five-game road trip with a 3-2-0 record.

Benn broke through Florida defensemen Dmitry Kulikov and Brian Campbell before slipping a forehand shot around Luongo only 45 seconds into the contest. Dallas doubled the lead on the power play at the 39-second mark of the middle session, when Seguin's shot from the top of the left faceoff circle appeared to deflect off Panthers captain Ed Jovanovski and into the net.

Florida halved the deficit nearly eight minutes later as defenseman Erik Gudbranson threw a puck on net from the blue line that clipped Upshall and sailed past Lehtonen before Pirro drew the Panthers even by burying a one-timer from the slot with 57 seconds left in the period. Bergenheim delivered the game-winner by redirecting blue-liner Colby Robak's wrist shot from the left faceoff dot with 4 1/2 minutes remaining.
