Oilers 4, Ducks 2

Taylor Hall scored a goal and set up two others while Jordan Eberle and defenseman Justin Schultz each recorded a tally and an assist as host Edmonton posted its second straight win.

David Perron added a short-handed goal for the Oilers, who spoiled Anaheim's chance to extend its lead atop the Pacific Division. Viktor Fasth made 34 saves against his former team as Edmonton concluded the season series against the Ducks with a 2-3-0 record.

Jakob Silfverberg and Corey Perry tallied for Anaheim, which remained one point ahead of San Jose in the Pacific but still has a game in hand. Jonas Hiller turned aside 24 shots as the Ducks also stayed three points behind St. Louis for the top seed in the Western Conference.

Anaheim got on the board 80 seconds into the contest as Silfverberg was credited with his ninth goal when the puck found its way into the net after his stick was chopped during a shot attempt in the slot. Hall forged a tie during a power play at 6:17 of the opening period, when he beat Hiller from below the right faceoff circle, and Perron scored from the left circle just over three minutes later to put Edmonton ahead.

Schultz made it 3-1 with 3:22 remaining in the second, backhanding a loose puck in the crease past Hiller. Perry tipped in captain Ryan Getzlaf's shot from above the slot during a man advantage 25 seconds into the third, but Eberle sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final minute.
