Hurricanes 4, Flames 1
Justin Faulk had a goal and two assists and Jeff Skinner added his 100th career NHL tally as host Carolina cruised past Calgary.
Zach Boychuk and defenseman Tim Gleason added goals for the Hurricanes, who have points in six straight games (5-0-1) after opening the season 0-6-2. Cam Ward turned aside 22 shots to earn his fifth straight win as Carolina avenged a 5-0 loss in Calgary back on Oct. 23.

Calgary opened the scoring at 13:07 as Jones converted a Curtis Glencross pass on a Flames power play for his second goal in as many games. Boychuk drew the Hurricanes even 4:23 later, outmuscling Calgary defenseman Dennis Wideman before wedging the puck between Hiller and the right post.
Faulk put Carolina ahead for good on a power play 4:50 into the middle period, blasting a Riley Nash feed past Hiller. Skinner added his milestone goal just under 7 1/2 minutes later, flicking a shot from the left circle past a fooled Hiller, and Gleason added his first of the season near the midway point of the third to compete the scoring.
