Panthers 4, Oilers 2

Tomas Kopecky and Sean Bergenheim scored third-period goals as visiting Florida extended its winning streak to three games.

Jimmy Hayes and defenseman Brian Campbell also tallied for the Panthers, who improved to 4-1-0 on their six-game road trip. Jussi Jokinen notched a pair of assists and Roberto Luongo turned aside 31 shots.

Jordan Eberle and Benoit Pouliot scored for the Oilers, who completed a 2-2-0 homestand. Ben Scrivens made 23 saves but stopped only four of the six shots he faced in the final session.

Florida grabbed the lead four minutes into the game as Hayes pounced on a loose puck in the left faceoff circle and beat Scrivens to the short side for his sixth goal in nine games. The Oilers pulled even at 4:07 of the second period, when Eberle poked in a backhander after a scramble in front, but Campbell beat Scrivens with a rising shot from the left point less than three minutes later to restore the Panthers' edge.

Kopecky expanded the advantage 5:08 into the third, scoring from the doorstep after receiving a pass from behind the net by Derek MacKenzie. Edmonton cut the deficit back to one 32 seconds later as Pouliot buried a loose puck in the slot during a delayed penalty, but Bergenheim took advantage of a turnover in the offensive zone with 4:33 remaining to seal the win.
