Andre Iguodala collected 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Washington Wizards for the second straight night, 103-90, on Saturday at the Verizon Center.
Lou Williams scored 24 points and Thaddeus Young added 18 off the bench for the 76ers, who have outscored the Wizards by a total of 44 points in the home-and-home set.
Philadelphia made its move in the second quarter on Saturday, opening the frame with a 19-6 burst to take the lead. Iguodala scored eight points in the frame and Young chipped in six as the 76ers coasted into the half with a 52-40 edge.
Young’s jumper with 9:02 left pushed the lead out to 84-64 and Philadelphia was able to coast to the finish.
The 76ers forced 18 turnovers and have not allowed more than 90 points in any of the last seven games.
Washington got some strong individual performances with 27 points for Nick Young and 23 points and 18 rebounds from JaVale McGee. John Wall nearly recorded a dubious quadruple-double with 19 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and eight turnovers.
