RAPTORS 96, CAVALIERS 88: Jerryd Bayless had 20 points and seven assists subbing for an injured Jose Calderon and Toronto beat Cleveland for the third time this season.
Calderon missed his second consecutive game with a sprained ankle, but the Raptors didn’t miss him. Andrea Bargnani had 19 points and eight rebounds and Leandro Barbosa had 17 points off the bench for the Raptors.
The Cavaliers were trying for their first four-game winning streak in two years, but allowed the Raptors to score 33 points in the second quarter and never recovered. Rookie Kyrie Irving had 14 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, but struggled shooting once again.
Irving is now 10 of 42 in three games against the Raptors and he has shot 14 of 44 in the Cavaliers’ last three games. Antawn Jamison had 20 points and Ramon Sessions added 16 points and six assists off the bench.
