Blackhawks 2, Coyotes 1

Defenseman Chris Campoli scored a power-play goal to snap a tie with just over 6 1/2 minutes remaining in the third period as the Chicago Blackhawks skated to a 2-1 road triumph over the Phoenix Coyotes on Sunday.

Reigning Norris Trophy winner Duncan Keith netted a power-play goal for Chicago (39-25-8), which moved into a fifth-place tie with the Los Angeles Kings (40-26-6) and Nashville Predators (38-25-10) in the Western Conference standings.

All was not roses for the Blackhawks, who saw leading goal-scorer Patrick Sharp leave the game with an apparent leg injury. Sharp collided with defenseman Rostislav Klesla late in the first period and did not return to the contest.

After being pulled in two of his last five outings, Corey Crawford was solid in this one by turning aside 22 shots.

With Coyotes captain Shane Doan in the penalty box for holding, Campoli recorded his fourth goal of the season and first with the Blackhawks after accepting a brilliant feed from captain Jonathan Toews on the doorstep. Campoli then deposited a shot into the net for the game-winning goal with 6:34 remaining in the contest.

Eric Belanger netted his 13th goal of the season and fourth in seven games for Phoenix (39-24-11), which remained three points behind the Pacific Division-leading San Jose Sharks (42-23-8). With the loss, the Coyotes saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.

Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 26 shots, but suffered his first loss in his last five starts.
